The Whales Are Here...
 The whale season has begun with Moonshadow's first cruise setting out at 1:30pm on 17th May ... and we had whales! Two adult Humpbacks were spotted near Fingal Island less than an hour into the cruise, slowly travelling North. Sightings will just get better and better from here.
Cruises will be operating at 10:00am and 1:30pm daily through until mid November. If this is something you have always wanted to do, then there has been no better time.  And Meet Our Newest Crew Member...
Moonshadow would like to introduce our latest recruit ... 'Dale the Whale'.
Dale is the brother of 'Splash the Dolphin' and arrives with glowing references (probably written by Splash), fluent in all whale languages and with a lifetime experience of all things whale ... because he is one! We have Dale rostered on for our official whale season launch cruise (2nd June), to meet and greet our first official passengers for the season. After that he and Splash seem to be planning all sorts of things (they have been a bit secretive about what they are doing)... so let us know if you see them out and about. Say 'Hi,' take a picture and let others know too!
Dale will be updating our website with our daily whale sightings, having a chat with our fans on Facebook, popping up on our website, Twittering away and generally spreading the word about what a great place Port Stephens is for whale watching and how good a Moonshadow Whale Watch Cruise really is. |

 The Official Season Launch is 2nd June...
We will be joining Imagine and Tamboi Queen Cruises in the 2010 Official Launch of the Port Stephens Whale Season on Wednesday, 2nd June 2010. The vessels will set out from d'Albora Marina at 10:00am and are offering the cruise for HALF PRICE ... yes just $30 per adult! And 50% of the proceeds will go directly to ORRCA, the most experienced and successful whale rescue organisation in Australia.
